Gunsan's old downtown is very walkable, but Haemang-ro in front of the Modern History Museum, the Wolmyeong-dong and Sinheung-dong back alleys, and Jungang-ro in the old center all run in slightly different directions โ get the order wrong and you'll retrace the same stretch more than once. This list groups the cafes by street, roughly following Haemang-ro, then the Guyeong-gil alleys, then Jungang-ro.
Since this is a walking route, plan around how many street crossings are involved and whether your timing clashes with museum or gallery hours, rather than just picking the closest cafe. If your feet give out or the weather turns, it's better to cut the route short and grab transit nearby than to force your way through the rest.
