Geoje's coast splits into distinct zones β Jangmok, Gujora, and the southern overlooks β so choose one that matches your legs
It's tempting to think an island means one easy loop, but Geoje's roads climb and dip constantly between bays and hills. So instead of a single circuit, this list splits the coast into four distinct rides β the Jangmok shoreline up north, the Gujora and Hakdong beaches, the Windy Hill and Yeocha-Hongpo overlooks, and Jangseungpo Harbor β and helps you pick one or two that fit.
The order below follows the actual north-to-south route. If your fitness is average, aim for the first three stops; if you have more in the tank, push toward the southern overlooks β but read each entry's caution note before deciding.

Maemi Fortress β Geoje's Northern Starting Point
Crossing the Geoga Bridge, this is the natural first stop for a Geoje ride. The wave-carved stone terraces draw crowds for photos, so lock your bike in the designated spot and walk the fortress area on foot.

Nongso Pebble Beach β Jangmok's Quiet Rest Stop
A good spot to pause and listen to the pebbles roll with the waves before the next climb. You can't ride over the stones, so park roadside and watch for fast-moving cars when you rejoin the coastal road.

Gujora Beach β Eastern Supply Point
This is effectively the halfway resupply stop on Geoje's east side, with food and restrooms in one place. In peak season, ferry passengers headed to Oedo Island and tour buses crowd the entrance, so walk your bike through.

Hakdong Black Pebble Beach β Gateway to the South
The real climbing starts just past here, making this a natural last checkpoint before the southern hills. Take a short walk on the black pebbles while you double-check your gears, brakes, and turnaround time.
