Check the transport, benches, and reservations first โ then pick just one or two gardens for an easy family fall outing.
When you're bringing both kids and grandparents, the route matters more than catching peak color. Check the distance from parking to the foliage area, whether a monorail or electric shuttle is available, and how far apart the benches, restrooms, and indoor shelter are. This list focuses on gardens, arboretums, and recreational forests that are relatively easy to plan around.
Even a place billed as "easy walking" isn't flat the whole way. Hwadam Botanic Garden and Jangtaesan have slopes and boardwalks, the National Baekdudaegan Arboretum covers a lot of ground, and Cheongnamdae has a long viewing route. Check official sources for shuttle reservations, wheelchair and stroller rentals, and pet policies, and plan to spend real time at just two core gardens instead of trying to cover everything.
